ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Sofia Giannini and I graduated with Distinction from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science, Dietetics with a double minor in Spanish and Psychology in May 2022. I completed my dietetic internship at Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis in June of 2023. I also received a graduate certificate with 8 credits of nutrition courses to apply towards a Master’s degree in the future. I recently accepted a full-time position at Riley Hospital for Children and will be working as a Hematology/Oncology and Keto Clinical Dietitian! I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and have been living here my whole life.

When I was younger I always said that I wanted to be a food scientist, and went into college as a nutrition science major. After meeting with several mentors and shadowing opportunities, I fell in love with the dietetics profession and quickly changed my major. I have been extremely blessed with the opportunities given to me throughout my college career and they have provided me with a different outlook on health and nutrition.
